The Dutch have a wonderful tradition which began many hundreds of years ago. When a baby was born they celebrated this joyous event with a Birth Plate commemorating the occasion. This unique gift is available in true delft made and decorated in the centuries old manner. The 7 3/4" plate is available in traditional blue and white, rose, or lovely polychrome and has a wall hanger attached.
Baby's name, the date, the weight, and the city and state are hand painted and baked on. As an added touch the clock on the nursery wall is set to the exact time of birth (see upper left corner of picture above).

plates.
The lamp stands 12 ½ inches tall and comes in polychrome as shown, or blue and
